A place for us to keep track of our meals, groceries (food only) and recipes. We may work for, shop for, pay for, and prepare these meals, but it is only because of God's Generous Grace that we are able to do so.

I wasn't able to post this during the weekend.

Mr Darling and I shared a pot of caffeinated coffee.
He takes his black and unsweetened.
I take mine black with a pinch of powdered stevia.

Mr. Darling's lunch bag contained:
a container of steak and red rind cheese sticks
a container of 8 peanut butter cracker sandwiches
a container of 13 unwrapped Hershey Kisses

For Breakfast
Mr Darling: Scrambled eggs, Sausage links, Grilled red rind cheese sandwich and 8 oz. OJ
Tinkerbell and Young Mr.: Scrambled eggs and Sausage links
Me: Sunny-side up egg and Steak
Grand Mr. was here and he had sausage links (he doesn't like eggs)

Lunch
Hebrew Nationals hot dogs (some boiled and some fried)
Tater Tots (oven)
Okra (oven-fried)
Optionals: mustard, catsup, and loaf bread

At the table: Grand Mr; Young Mr; Tinkerbell; Twinklebell (friend) and me.

Supper
Mr. Darling treated us to a night at Arby's.

Mr Darling and I shared a pot of de-caffeinated coffee.
He takes his black and unsweetened.
I take mine black with a pinch of powdered stevia

Side note: Before we ate my blood sugar was 78mg/dl. I injected too much meal-time insulin and went too low (47 mg/dl). A lot of diabetics eat some sort of candy/cookie/cake or drink juice or some other sugary beverage.
I used to, but I have learned that that will shoot me too high and then drop me again. So I chose to eat a small meal. LOL
Here's what I ate to raise my blood sugar but slowly:
I reheated a piece of baked chicken breast, took a slice of cheddar cheese and used romaine lettuce as a wrap. I also ate pork rinds.
Within an hour or so my blood sugar had raised to 72mg/dl by morning it was 115mg/dl.

Breakfast
We enjoyed the planned-over baked ham and eggs

Lunch
Tinkerbell and Young Mr. went to Bojangle's. They used a gift card that someone gave us and so they ate free.
Mr. Darling and I were in town. We couldn't decide where we wished to eat, so we weighed the options and decided to travel home and eat the food that we had already paid for.
We each had 2 burgers each wrapped in romaine lettuce. He had catsup and mustard with his. I enjoyed mustard with mine. We each had a dish of leftover steamed broccoli with melted real butter (not margarine), and sea salt. yum!

Supper
Mr. Darling ate the very last of the baked ham with mustard on loaf bread. He had red rind cheese.
I had a burger with cheddar cheese and mustard in a romaine lettuce wrap.
Tinkerbell and Young Mr. had a burger. He had catsup on his. She had hers plain.
